NeuroCOV Consortium Gathers in Helsinki for the 2025 Annual Meeting

The third progress meeting of the NeuroCOV project took place on June 17–18, 2025, at Klaus K Hotel in Helsinki, Finland, hosted by the team from the University of Helsinki. The meeting was held in a hybrid format, allowing for both in-person and remote participation.

Over two intensive days, the consortium reviewed the progress of all work packages (WPs), assessed synergies across activities, and defined concrete next steps for the project. Updates were presented on topics ranging from clinical and genomic epidemiology to drug repurposing, data integration, social science frameworks, and project management. Each presentation was followed by interactive discussions that fostered alignment among partners and helped refine shared objectives.

The meeting also featured collaborative working groups focused on patient prioritisation, in vitro perturbation models, and the interpretation of clinical data. A dedicated session explored publication strategies and cross-WP paper ideas, sparking fruitful exchanges among participants.

With renewed energy and a shared vision, the NeuroCOV consortium continues its mission to investigate the long-term neurological impacts of COVID-19.
